Doug Lampman, also known as Izzy MooN, has been involved in live music performances since 1974 when he formed his first band in high school. Growing up in Chicago during the Seventies, I was immersed in the best Rock and Roll and Blues bands in the world. These influences are evident in my music compositions and songwriting. I've had the honor of collaborating with legends such as John Lee Hooker, Pine Top Perkins, Madison Slim, and Eddie Shaw in the blues scene, as well as with Melvin Seals, David Kemper, and Marty Holland from the JGB and San Francisco crew. I was also fortunate to record an album with Betty “Boots” Cantor of Grateful Dead fame and tour with JGB, performing shows alongside The Black Crowes and The Killers.
Now, I call Idaho home, where my former band Bone Daddy originated. I'm thrilled about my new venture, The Izzy MooN Band, featuring Jim Davis on drums and Dave Kirkland on bass. We are a dynamic trio that loves to jam, creating original material alongside classic covers. We have a new CD set to release late this year, 2018, and we’re eager to hit the road with our upcoming shows. Be sure to check out our streaming music and hope you enjoy the archive and the music we've created together.
